Ruth Meyer, age 80, of Medford died Sunday, December 3, 2017 at home in Medford. Mrs. Meyer was born February 7, 1937 in Germany. She is the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Emma Hindemith. She was predeceased by her husband, Reinhold Meyer.

She is survived by two sons: Glenn R. Meyer of Holtsville, NY, Richard Meyer of Shoreham, NY; one sister: Elsa Baecker and five brothers: Helmut Hindemith, Erhardt Hindemith, Erich Hindemith, Werner Hindemith and Reinhold Hindemith; She also has five grandchildren; three granddaughters, Kristen, Sara and Justina; two grandsons, Steven and William.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 5 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 7:00 - 9:00 PM at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY.

The funeral will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 6 at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY with Rev. Ralph Wright officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Center Moriches on Wednesday, December 6 at 11:00 am.
