Robert E. Cavanagh, age 79, of Bellmore, NY, formerly of Farmingville, NY died Saturday, October 12, 2024.  Robert was born July 13, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY. Robert was a firefighter with Farmingville Fire Department.  Robert was an employee at LILCO for over 30 years.

Robert is survived by his two sons  Bobby and his wife JoAnne and Brian and his wife Rachel; his two grandchildren, Nicholas and Morgan and his two sisters Peggy and Lorie.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 7:00 -9:00 PM at the Farmingville Fire Department, 780 Horseblock Road, Farmingville, NY 11738.

A Firematic service will be held 8:00 pm on October 16, 2024 at the Farmingville Fire Department, 780 Horseblock Road, Farmingville, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Church Of The Resurrection, 50 Granny Road, Farmingville, NY with Rev. Gonzalo Oajaca-Lopez officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, NY on Thursday, October 17 at 12:00 pm.
