Richard John Lewis Jr.beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, at the age of 78 in Medford, NY. He was born on March 21, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY.

Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Lewis; his loving children, Keith Lewis, Kristen Kestel, and Kevin Lewis; and cherished grandchildren, Cameron Kestel, Paige Lewis, Sarah Lewis, and Katherine Lewis, as well as Elizabeth Lewis. He is also survived by his sister, Ellen.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horseblock Road, Medford, NY. There will be a prayer service on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 PM with Fr. Paul Bersamin. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Sylvester R.C. Church, 68 Ohio Road, Medford, NY. Following the Mass, Richard will be laid to rest with honors at Calverton National Cemetery.
