Nestor Perez, 74, born in Mayaguez, PR, has gone home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2024.  He was raised in the Bronx, served during the Vietnam War,  and was a proud decorated Marine.  Semper Fi!  Nestor raised his family in Brooklyn and subsequently retired as Deputy Superintendent from the New York State Department of Corrections.  He settled in Suffolk County where he became an author and enjoyed writing, cooking for his family and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather.  He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Nannette and Jennine, and two grandchildren.
