Proud Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was born June 10, 1932 in Manhattan Borough, NY to his loving parents, the Late Neftali Nieves Sr. and the Late Alicia Nieves (nee Alvarez). Beloved Husband of Kathleen M. Nieves (nee Powell). Loving Father of Diane Emily Nieves, Kathy Shirley Davis, Neftali Nieves III, Patrick Malia, Robert Malia, Joseph Malia, Mary Rose Kaufman, John Malia and Edward Malia. Adored Grandfather of Brianna,Tiana, Jacob, Bryan, Ben, Kevin, Kiana, Keira, Joe, Sam, Tim, Kelly Anne, Jackie, Brian, Danny and Justin. Cherished Great Grandfather of Athena, Luana, Xander, Trinity, Flynn, Kearyn, Kairi, Kevin, Roman, Zoe and Eden.

A Visitation will be held at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horseblock Road, Medford, NY 11763 on Sunday, May 19, 2024, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home on Monday, May 20, 2024, 8:45 AM with a Funeral Mass following at 9:30 AM on Monday, May 20, 2024, at St. Sylvester R.C. Church, 68 Ohio Ave, Medford, NY 11763. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram, NY.
