Michael Hill (53) was born Oct. 1, 1967 in Jamaica, New York. He was the third son born to Joe

Lee Hill Jr, and Frances Hill.

As a teenager, he attended John Adams High School and later sought out to further his

education at Hunter College.

In April 1988, he met Sonia Pauline Staten Hill and they were married on Oct. 1, 1990. In their

union together, they birthed and raised 5 children.

Michael dedicated his life to helping others. He worked as a Senior Substance Abuse Counselor

at SUS in Brooklyn, N.Y for several years. After relocating his family to Long Island, New York,

he entered the healthcare field by studying and receiving a certification for Central Sterilization

and Supply at Stony Brook University hospital where he worked as a dedicated employee for 20

years.

Michael showed his love, support and commitment to his family by raising his nieces and

nephew, Chantel Mclean, Victoria Moultrie and Anthony Moultrie Jr with his wife, Sonia and

spending time with his grandchildren.

Michael passed from this life to his eternal life with the Lord on Dec. 26, 2020.

He was preceded in death by Joe Lee Hill Jr. and Frances Hill (parents), Anthony Moultrie and

Gregory Hill (brothers), Eloise "Nana" Baxter (grandmother), Joe Lee Hill Sr. (grandfather) and

Michael Ian Harris (son).

He is survived by his loving wife Sonia Pauline Staten HIll with their children, Resean Cruz, Ariel

(Timothy) Cruz Swan, Michael Hill Jr, Gerlisa Hill, Onjalae Hill and Tiffany Hill; his siblings,

Timothy Hill, JoAnne Hill Riddick, Tanisha Hill and Kevin Hill, Stephanie Phifer (God sister);

9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who love him dearly.

Visiting hours under Covid-19 social distancing guidelines will be Monday, January 4 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY.

The funeral service will be held 12:00 pm on Monday, January 4 at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm on January 4, 2021 at Plain Lawn Cemetery, 279 W Old Country Rd, Hicksville, NY.
