It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Margaret Ludwig, who left us peacefully on August 26, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on October 28, 1950, in Queens, NY, Marie lived a life filled with love, family, and memories that will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind.

Marie enjoyed her career as a clerk at The Gap, where her friendly demeanor and warm spirit touched the lives of many customers. However, her greatest joy was found in her family. She was a wife to her husband, George Ludwig, and a caring mother to her sons, Peter and Jack Ludwig. As a cherished grandmother, she adored her granddaughter, Rory Marie Ludwig, and found immense delight in every moment spent with her. Marie was also a loving sister to Joan August.

An avid beach lover, Marie spent countless days creating joyful memories by the ocean, where she could often be found soaking up the sun and enjoying the waves. Many will remember her as the go-to babysitter in the community, always willing to lend a hand to family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 to celebrate her life. It will be held at the McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horseblock Road, Medford from 2:00 pm through 6:00 pm. A prayer service for Marie will be held at the funeral home during that time.

Marie's spirit will continue to shine bright in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Marie was preceded in death by her father, Roy Peters and her mother Marjorie (Hennenberg) Peters.
