Mr. Lawrence A. Murray (Larry), 76, of Titusville, Florida, passed away on 10/07/2019 at 18:45 in his home surrounded by family.

Lawrence was born in Springfield Gardens, Queens to Mr. John and Dorothy (Wagner) Murray on 17 December 1942.

He worked as an auto mechanic and eventually as a Track Foreman  for the Long Island Rail Road for over 32 years. He enjoyed building and racing quarter mile drag cars racing watching NASCAR Races,

He received multiple awards for being an outstanding auto mechanic and countless trophies as a drag car racer. He enjoyed domestic travel with his wife, visiting his large family internationally, snowmobiling, fishing, and watching a few favorite television shows.

Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara E. Murray of Titusville, FL. and Son Larry Jr., daughter Marie & her husband Jim, daughter Lorraine & her husband Marty, son Richard, son John & his wife Natalee, daughter Susan & her husband Bobby, son Jeff and his wife Allison. His grandchildren are John, Lawrence, Richard, Michael, Nicole, Joseph, KC, DJ, Kamryn, Ava, Skylar, Jake and Ryann. His great grandchildren are Kyla, Jayden, Marc and Cole.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. John H. Murray and Mrs. Dorothy (Wagner) Murray and his brother Dennis.

Visitation at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home 2084 Horseblock Rd. Medford, NY 11763 on Friday, October 11, 2019 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Funeral service on Saturday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass on Saturday 9:30 AM at St. Sylvester R.C. Church. Private cremation. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram, NY at a later date.
