After a brave and courageous battle with cancer, Laura Corrigan Zegel, 55, passed away on June 29,2017 surrounded by her family.

Laura is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Zegel, her devoted son Erick, parents Edward and Nancy Corrigan and a sister Donna Dunn. Laura leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws,nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews , son # 2, countless friends and her second family at the track.

Laura was an avid race fan and attended Riverhead Raceway every weekend to watch her son race, as well as the many friends she had there. She contributed her outstanding enthusiasm by keeping score all while cheering them on! She frequently demonstrated her exceptional creativity by giving others her crocheted goods out of the greatness of her heart. She excelled while taking professional photos whether it be of the wonderful moments spent with her family, the beautiful scenery at Shinnecock, and her second family at the racetrack. A Memorial Visitation for Laura will be held at the McManus-Lorey Funeral Home 2084 Horseblock Rd. Medford, NY 11763 on Friday July 7, 2017 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
