John Frances Thornton, age 83, of Mastic died Saturday, May 14, 2016.

John was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and past Commander of the William F. Taylor VFW Post 9486 in Ronkonkoma, NY.

He was the husband of the late Jacqueline Thornton.

Devoted Father of Robert, John, Ian, and Shawn.

Beloved Grandfather of Michelle, Keith, Julia, and John.

Cherished Great-Grandfather of Jayden and Makayla.
