Jack G.
Cupito
Apr 10, 1932 — Jun 21, 2011
Mr. Jack G. Cupito was born on April 10, 1932 in Flushing, New York, to Giacomo and Giuseppina Cupito.
Jack served his country proudly in the Korean War and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1954. He then returned home to Long Island, married our wonderful Mother, Antoinette Arico, and together they raised four daughters. Although they separated many years ago, Ann and Jack remained friends and, despite whatever differences they may have had, they were ALWAYS there for each other and for their children. We pay homage to both our Parents for this gift.
Jack is survived by his four loving children and their families ... Jo-Ann Cupito; Lucille Cupito and granddaughter Jaclyn; Jackie and Frank Lamport (and special great-grandsons, Tyler and Austin Lamport); Annie and Dennis Hull, and grandsons Dennis and Michael.
Jack also leaves behind his dear sister Millie Troiano; his many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws; and special friends, all of whom will miss him very much.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00. His funeral mass will be on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 9:45am at St. Sylvester's R.C. Church. He will be buried with honors at Calverton National Cemetery following the mass.
Our Dad was a very special man, with many sides and so much character. He was Kind, Concerned, Difficult, Impatient, Frugal, Generous, Funny (hysterically so at times!), Serious, Happy, Grouchy, Compromising, Stubborn, Patient and Loving. Most of all he was a Father and a Grandfather. He did the best he could, and his best was just perfect.
We will miss him very much, but we will always have our memories, plus the "bonus" of all his little notes and writings, where this amazing, unassuming yet complex man we called Dad was at his finest and shone the brightest.
Love you Dad. Rest now.
