Douglas A. Cook, age 86, of Farmingville died Sunday, October 11, 2020. Douglas was born January 22, 1934 in Tampa, FL.

Loving husband to Carol Ann. Loving father to Peter, Deborah Shedlick (William), Elizabeth Hagerman (Jeffrey) and Victoria O'Malley (Joseph). Loving grandfather to Matthew (Marisa), Brianna (Derek), Skyler, Jonathan, Morgan, Connor, Blake, Mackenzie, Sommer (Michael), Amber & Tyler.

Car enthusiast, Douglas could take an old classic car that has been neglected and not running and make it sparkle inside and out and run like new! One of his most prized possessions was his very unique British Racing Red Jaguar XK120, he treasured cruising around with Carol by his side.

He enjoyed showing his classic cars and loved to travel to watch car races as well. Douglas was a lover of golf and nature. He enjoyed the driving range with his grandchildren as he shared laughs along with golf tips. Douglas spent much time traveling and loved his many road trips across the country with his family. Doug had a great sense of humor and could easily make his family laugh with his quick wit and funny stories. Douglas was loved by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, October 15 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 7:00 - 9:00 PM at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY.

A prayer service will be held 7:30 pm on October 15, 2020 at McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY.
