David E. Hayman, 58, of Medford, NY passed peacefully in his sleep on December 8, 2015. He was born in Patchogue, NY on December 11, 1956. Dave graduated from Patchogue-Medford High School and went on to receive an Associate's Degree from Suffolk Community College. Dave was an Automotive instructor at Apex Technical School, Lincoln Technical School, Boces and St. Martin de Porres School in Elmont where he started the automotive program prior to becoming ill. Dave loved to work with his hands. He built the altar used in the Blessing Room of the Church of the Resurrection in Farmingville. Dave loved cars, motorcycles and trains...anything with wheels and a motor. He was so proud when he was cited as a contributor in an automotive repair textbook. Dave was married to Rosemarie Malack on May 29, 1983. He is survived by his sons Stephen and David and his loving wife Rosemarie. He was a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Dave will be missed by his family, his friends and his community.
