Charles C. Ohsiek, 80, of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida passed on from this life on Monday, January 1, 2018 after a brief illness. He was loved by his

family & friends and will be missed by many.

Charles, originally from New York, was a Veteran of the United States Army before he began his career as a Systems Analyst. Following his retirement, Charles moved to the Fort Lauderdale area where he was an active and involved member of his community. Charles was an avid bridge player & taught classes to seniors in his community. Charles recently discovered going on cruises and spent the last years of his life seeing many new places.

Charles is preceeded in death by his parents, Carl Ohsiek, Sr. & Grace Ohsiek; his sister in law Zenia Ohsiek.

He is survived by siblings Carl Ohsiek, Jr., George Ohsiek (Ellen), & Mary Tagarelli; His ex-wife and mother of their children Rita Ohsiek. Their children Jackie Henson (Doug), Debbie Ohsiek & Chuck Ohsiek (Danelle). Charles is survived by his many precious grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Charles is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Charles wished for donations to be made in his name to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.Visitation will be on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford, NY 11763.
