Allen I. Gale, 88, of Ronkonkoma, NY, passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2021. He is survived by wife Marie, children Terry Weaver (Vincent), Linda Gale, Barbara Huggins (Steven), Allen Gale (Nanette), James Gale (Gregory Noone) and a special grandson David Gale. Allen and Marie celebrated 67 years of marriage and in addition to their 5 children were blessed by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Allen spent 30 proud years as a NYC police officer before retiring as a lieutenant. He enjoyed his retirement years both on Long Island and in the Villages in Florida. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Church of the Resurrection in Farmingville. Throughout his life, Allen's love for his family and friends was demonstrated by his involvement in his community in Scouting and DIY projects in the homes of kids and grandkids. Visitation under Covid19 social distancing guidelines will be at the McManus-Lorey Funeral Home in Medford on January 19 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass under Covid19 social distancing guidelines will be held on January 20 at noon at the Church of the Resurrection.
